Seven Suspects Nab After Crack Down on Illegal Use of Drugs and Trafficking in Banteay Meanchey

PHNOM PENH: Seven men were sent to provincial court on Monday and authorities are preparing a case to be filed against them following their arrest on Saturday after military police of the Anti-Drug Office of Banteay Meanchey has made a crackdown on drug trafficking.

Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police Commissioner Major General Sethi Loh has reported that the police force of Mongkul Borei district has arrested five drug trafficking suspects at Mongkul Borei District’s Phnom Thom Cheung village on 13 November. The five were also caught using drugs, Authorities confiscated from the group white power in four small bags, seven knives and three mobile phones. Two more suspects were caught along with 12 small bags of white crystalline powder, 48 red pills with the word WY on each pill and some plastic bags for drug ports.
