MCFA is Hosting Asia-Europe Cultural Festival from 22 to 26 of November

PHNOM PENH: The forthcoming cultural festival’s theme “Asia-Europe Culture Connect,” is going to be one the side events of the 13th Asia-Europe Summit (ASEM13) and ASEM, as announced by the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, and Vice Chairperson of the National Organizing Committee for ASEM13 Dr. Kim Pinun on a press conference on Monday morning.

Different forms of performances, exhibitions, film screening and discussions will be featured in the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival. The undersecretary has pointed out that the festival will enhance dialogue between the 51 countries in Asia and Europe members of ASEM.

The Head of Political, Press and Information at the EU Delegation to Cambodia Mr. Tihamer Czika, has highlighted that the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival will strengthen solidarity and cooperation between countries of the two continents. The event will showcase the cultural richness and diversity between countries in Europe and Asia, as well as the creativity of artists from both continents, and made clear to everyone that the festival will take place virtually in Brussels, Belgium from 15 to 26 of November and in Cambodia from 22 to 26 of November.

During the five-day festival, artistic events representing more than 20 Asian and European partners, will be officially presented on www.ASEMculturelfestival.com. The festival's physical program includes six art exhibitions to be confined at the National Museum and four film screenings at Major Cineplex in Phnom Penh.

Other side events of the ASEM13 include Asia-Europe Forum on Women, Peace and Security, the 11th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEP11), 1st Asia-Europe Economic and Business Forum (AEEBF1), ASEF Young Leaders Summit, and the 10th ASEF Editors' Roundtable (ASEFERT10).
