BREAKING NEWS: No More Quarantine for Tourists Who will be Tested Negative in Rapid Test

Phnom Penh : Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced to remove the quarantine requirement for all fully vaccinated passengers, both Cambodians and foreigners, entering Cambodia.

To clear the way for the country’s reopening, all Cambodians returning abroad, foreign tourists and investors are no longer required to be quarantined from three to seven days anymore, this announcement was from a special voice message made by the PM this Sunday afternoon. The decision was made after the vaccination coverage against COVID-19 in Cambodia has reached nearly 88 percent of the total population of 16 million.  

But the PM made it clear that all tourists need to get rapid tests upon arrival at the maritime and air border gates. If the test result is negative, they are free to go anywhere they want across Cambodia, However, those who have not been vaccinated have to be in quarantine for 14 days,in addition to PCR test. 

The new directive comes into force from 15 November. The PM also pointed out that those having their quarantine at hotel or other areas with negative PCR test results, they are allowed to end their quarantine tomorrow. According to the Ministry of Health, the daily new cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia has dropped remarkably recently.
