PM Applauds Ouk Srey Mom on Winning the 2021 World Pétanque Gold Medal

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen has expressed his good wishes on his FB page on Sunday and has said Cambodia is very proud of Ouk Srey Mom who just won the gold medal in world bowling and for defeating Thailand in the final of the 2021 World Patent Championships in Santa Susanna, Spain.

This is the second time that Ouk Srey Mom has won the World Pétanque Gold Medal after winning the World Pétanque Games in GHENT, Belgium in 2017.

The Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith also wrote his congratulatory for the champion Ouk Srey Mom on his personal Facebebook page.

Before reaching the finals, Cambodia's 2017 World Gold medalist defeated Canada in the quarterfinals 29-2 and went on to beat Norway in the semi-finals 25-18 to advance to the finals. The final continued to beat Thailand 37-29, making Ouk Srey Mom the second Cambodian athlete to win the fifth consecutive gold medal after Ke Leng won in 2013, 2015. 2017, 2019 and 2021.
