Cambodian Athletes to Compete for 2021 World Petanque Championship

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia for the win. Four Cambodian female athletes have already left Cambodia to compete for the World Petanque Championship in Spain scheduled on 12 to 14 November. They will soon be followed by the male athletes who will also compete from 19 to 21 this month.

Deputy Secretary General of the Federation of Boules and Petanque of Cambodia Kin Samnang says that the four female athletes are already heading to Spain. The four athletes chosen to represent Cambodia are Ouk Sreymom, Un Sreya, Sreang Sorakhim and Khuon Yary. They are the best players selected from the National Petanque Championship 2021 recently held. They are joined by the Secretary General of FBPC, Sok Sabayna, FBPC advisor In Kimsrun and coach Sok Mong.

The Cambodian male Petanque athletes will also leave Cambodia soon to join the competition from 19 to 21 November at the same venue in Santa Susana, Spain. The 2021 World Petanque Championship has three categories such as the women’s championship and the junior world championship and the men’s championship.
