Benefits of New Investment Law on SMEs to the Large Enterprises

PHNOM PENH: The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has promoted newly-endorsed investment law to local investors and businessmen who are members of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC).

CDC has assembled a workshop on Wednesday co-chaired by its Secretary General Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea and the President of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce Oknha Kith Meng, with participation of 400 CCC members. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea has explained the benefits of the new investment law.

He has pointed out that the law will give favorable benefits and promotes SMEs through incentives provided on the prioritized sectors and boost the connection to the large enterprises. Leaders and members of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce are expected to increase their investment as well as promote the law to local and international investors.

Private sector warmly welcomes and approves the investment law and the CDC is confident that the efficient implementation of the law will make the legal framework more open, transparent, and potential to investment.

Last week, the CDC also hosted an online workshop to promote the new law to Cambodian diplomatic officials abroad so that they can promote the law widely to foreign investors and businessmen.
