Thailand Deports Over 70 Cambodians

Banteay Meanchey: Thai authorites have deported a total of 72 Cambodians found illegally entering the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperating with Thailand's border authorities has released a statement saying the workers that were deported got caught illegally crossing the border.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Affairs, Koy Kuong says the Thai authorites detained the Cambodians illegally entering the country. Cambodia's consulate in Thailand coordinated with the border authorities resulting to the deportation of the Cambodians. All of them were planning to work in Thailand. Out of 72, 36 are females. They were caught on Thursday and Friday crossing Banteay Meanchey's border.
