Cambodia’s King Receives Courtesy Visit from Newly-Appointed French Ambassador

PHNOM PENH: His Majesty the King of Life on the Gem, King Norodom Sihamoni has received a courtesy visit from the newly-appointed French Ambassador to Cambodia, Jacques Pellet on Friday. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Kingdom of Cambodia receives a gift from the King and a book documenting the Royal Achievement of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and His Majesty the King Father Norodom Sihanouk.

A Cambodian traditional stoneware carved by highly talented Cambodian sculptors was received by French Ambassador to Cambodia, Jacques Pellet from King Norodom Sihamoni on Friday. It highlights the beautiful floral patterns of the glorious ancient Khmer tradition. The King has also gifted him a documentary book about the Kingdom’s Royal achievements. 

In return, French Ambassador Jacques Pellet presented gemstones to the king, showcasing the precious natural resources of France. Both acts show the deep friendship between France and Cambodia, as well as a high sense of respect for the Kingdom of Cambodia’s King.

His Majesty, the King of Life on the Gem, King Norodom Sihamoni has welcomed the French Ambassador with great pleasure, a way to strengthen and expanding the relationship, especially friendship between the two nations Cambodia-France.
