BREAKING NEWS: PM Announces Full Reopening of Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced the full reopening of Cambodia starting Monday, 1 November. He made the announcement during the official closing ceremony of Covid-19 vaccination for 1st dose. At the same, the Royal Government has opened the vaccination for 5-year-old children in the kingdom against Covid-19.

The Prime Minister says that Cambodia's Covid-19 fight has four stages. First was March to October 2020, the start of taking action against the spread of the coronavirus. Second, the November 2020 to February 2021, managing then spread of the virus. Then third, from February 2021 until the end of October as the government taking action to vaccinate the population in order to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19.

Finally, Prime Minister Hun Sen emphasises the fourth stage which starts on the first day of November. He says this is the start of reopening all the sectors in the country as people learns to live with the new normal - living with Covid-19.
