Ministry of Education Denies Claims of Exam Exemption for 9th and 12th Grades

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Education is taking an action against some people who spread false information that has circulated stating that the Ministry allows the ninth and twelfth grade students to pass their test automatically.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports spokesman Ros Soveacha, told EAC News that the ministry has not allowed students to pass the 9th and 12th grades exams automatically. He has called on the relevant authorities to cooperate with the ministry to find the instigator of the false information and take legal action.

The MoEYS has set the date for the diploma exam on 15 November, 2021 and the Baccalaureate exam on 6 December. It has encouraged all candidates to continue their efforts to learn remotely and online and when having a face to face study in the classroom, students must continue to take care of their health and to continue supporting the measures implemented by the government in fighting Covid -19. In this regard, the ministry has kept up to improve the quality of education and to have a standarised exams.

Looking back on, the Kingdom has allowed students to pass the lower secondary school and high school diploma in 2020 to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the community.
