Australia to Provide $15 Million Project to Cambodia in Three Years

Phnom Penh: Australia’s Ambassador to Cambodia, Pablo Kang, has informed the Minister of Interior, Sar Kheng, that they will provide around $15 million worth of project in the kingdom within three years, starting from 2021. Kang has stated that the project will be under social accountability framework to be provided through the World Bank.

The Australian Ambassador has met with the Minister Kheng on Wednesday at the Ministry of Interior’s office discussing about cooperation and development in Cambodia. Kheng has thanked the ambassador stating that the project will also serve as a contribution to the implementation of the Royal Government’s 10-year national programme to continue the process reform and decentralisation.

Kang has also informed the Minister that while the government prepares to reopen the border, the Australian side has organised a training programme to strengthen the capacity of the law enforcement process, especially the immigration officials to strengthen and increase efficiency and effectivity in managing border gates.
