Minister of Environment Meets British Ambassador to Discuss Climate Change

Phnom Penh: During a meeting on Tuesday with the British Ambassador to Cambodia, Tina Redshaw, Minister of Environment, Say Samal, has reassured the UK that the Kingdom is ready to participate and research safe, sustainable and affordable energy sources to contribute to the fight against climate change.

Say Samal has stated that “Cambodia is firmly committed to join with the international community to solve this global problem” and added, "In addition to the conservation of biodiversity and natural resources, the search for renewable energy sources is an important contribution to tackling climate change, and Cambodia is ready to engage with development partners, especially the UK, Australia and Russia to conduct study and research on safe, sustainable and affordable energy sources”.
