Massive Flooding in Poipet

Banteay Meanchey: Poipet City Governor, Keat Hul, has led a joint rescue operation to evacuate more than 70 families in Banteay Meanchey province on Wednesday due to massive flooding. Heavy rainfall in Thailand and the province contributes to heavy flooding on the western part of the Kingdom.

The partial opening of the Huai Yang dam sluice in Thailand has also intensified floods in many areas on the Cambodian-Thai border province. As of Wednesday, more than 100 families have been recorded affected. The governor says this is the second time that such flooding along the Cambodian-Thai border has affected people's homes and properties.
