PM Commemorates 9th Anniversary of Death of King Father

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has praised King Norodom Sihanouk for his dedication to the motherland on the 9th anniversary of his death.

The Prime Minister wrote on his Facebook page: "Today, people all over the country, as well as government officials and the Armed Forces at all levels, express their deepest gratitude to His Majesty the King for the greatest dedication and sacrifice for the motherland of Cambodia. People all over the country and civil servants, please pay your respects to His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, and may the King be welcomed in paradise."

It has been nine years since King Norodom Sihanouk passed away on 15 October 2012 in Beijing, China. The day is marked as “Commemoration Day” in Cambodia and is a national holiday.
