Man Killed as Train Hits Minibus Taxi

Sihanoukville: A 31-year-old man has died, hours after his minivan was hit by a train in Preah Sihanouk. He was rushed to hospital and was receiving emergency treatment when he died. The victim was a driver for transporting workers but luckily had no passengers at the time of the incident.

The accident happened on Wednesday morning at the railway crossing on National Road 4 in Prey Nob District. The minivan was travelling from Preah Sihanouk to Phnom Penh as was the train. There are no barriers at the crossing in question. It’s assumed the driver simply failed to see the oncoming train. Authorities are investigating.
