Battambang Police Detain Over 100 Illegal Cambodian Workers Trying to Enter Thailand

BATTAMBANG: Police in Battambang province arrested 130 Cambodians, who were illegally trying to cross into Thailand on Tuesday morning.

The commander of the 819th Border Police Battalion of Battambang province, Colonel Mansy said that yesterday morning, “Border police, in cooperation with Kamrieng district police arrested 130 Cambodians trying to cross into Thailand. Among them were 65 males, 52 females and 13 children. They were caught at Orda Leu village, Boeung Reang commune, Kamrieng district, Battambang province.

After detaining the 130 Cambodians the police have sent them to the Kamrieng district police to find out the reason for this illegal activity and to find the human smuggler who tried to take them to over the border, in order to comply with the law.
