Eleven Cambodian Migrant Workers Arrested in Thailand After Crossing Border Illegally

Thailand: Eleven Cambodians and a Thai National have been picked up by Thai police in three separate locations after crossing the border from Cambodia. All the arrests were made on Thursday by the Thai Border Guard.

In the first incident, police stopped a truck driving on Route 3085 after it was suspected that the driver was Thai, while his three passengers were all Cambodian. The second incident saw four Cambodian workers arrested while waiting for transportation further into Thailand after just crossing the border illegally. Another four were arrested at a sugarcane plantation in Thailand’s Aranyaprathet district.
