Girl Drowns While Playing in Pools in Battambang

Battambang: A two-year-old girl has drowned after being left to play in pools of water in Battambang. The tragedy was reported on Wednesday afternoon in Pich Chenda village in the Phnom Preuk district.

Police have identified the child as Phearum Srey Pich. She had been left to play in the pools with other children while her parents were working. An autopsy has ruled out any foul play and the child’s body has been returned to her parents for burial.
