Police Arrest a Broker for Allegedly Taking People Across the Border into Thailand

Battambang: The District Police of Sam Pov Loun in Battambang have re-arrested a broker for illegally guiding Cambodian workers across the border into Thailand. The suspect is 30-year-old Hang Kim Chhuon. According to Sampov Loun police, he was picked up at 11.30am on Sunday at his home in Battambang’s Kilo 13 village in Sampov Loun.

He was initially arrested on Friday for trying to smuggle would-be migrant workers across the border, but he managed to escape. He is now in custody awaiting his first appearance in court.
