King Signs Decrees Rearranging Some Provincial Governors

Phnom Penh: His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni has signed separate royal decrees to re-arrange seven provincial governors.

According to the royal decrees, dated 30 September, Mondulkiri Governor, Svay Sam Eang, has been moved to Stung Treng. Rattanakiri Governor, Thong Savun, moves to Mondulkiri. Nhem Samoeun has been appointed the new Governor of Rattanakiri.

At the same time, Pursat Governor, Mao Thonin, is the new Kampot Governor, replacing Cheav Tay who has been moved to Pursat. Governor of Kampong Thom, Sok Lou, has moved to Battambang, replaced in Kampong Thom by former Battambang Governor, Nguon Ratanak.

The former Governor of Stung Treng, Mom Saroeun, has been promoted to Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Interior.
