HM King Norodom Sihamoni Congratulates 72nd Founding Anniversary of China

Phnom Penh: King of Cambodia His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni has congratulated the People’s Republic of China on its 72nd founding anniversary. In a recent message to Chinese President Xi JinPing, His Majesty wished the best to the Head of state, the Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army.

The King has also praised Chinese efforts in distributing vaccines for other countries: “We highly commend Your Excellency's vision and commitments for building a global community of health for all, and China’s concrete actions to provide two billion doses of vaccines globally this year to over one hundred countries and international organizations amid the battle against the COVID 19 pandemic,” he added. “We admire China's success in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.”

The message has reassured the position of the Kingdom of Cambodia staying side by side with the People's Republic of China and adhering to the One China Policy, maintaining the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries.

King Norodom Sihamoni completed the letter forwarding the gratitude of Queen Mother Norodom Monineath for welcoming Her Majesty on her medical check-up in China. He also expressed treasuring the special friendship between the Royal couple with Xi JingPing and his wife, the First Lady Peng Liyuan.
