Cambodian Football Federation Releases Names of Players for Two Upcoming Competitions

Phnom Penh: The National Football team of Cambodia will play at the AFC Asian Cup China in 2023 and the AFC U23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan in 2022. They have already selected 36 players, according to a list of names released by the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) on Tuesday.

The Cambodian team will have two matches with Guam ahead of the AFC Asian Cup China 2023. One match will be played on 9 October and the other on 12 October of this year, in Bahrain. The winning team will go to the third round of qualifiers next year, and then to the finals in 2023 in China.

One week after the games in Bahrain, the Cambodian team will be in Pool K with the Japanese and Hong Kong teams for the AFC U23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022. The matches will be played between 23-31 from October in Japan.

The team that wins the games in Japan will go to the final round between 1-19 June next year in Uzbekistan.
