FUNCINPEC Removes Three People Seeking Party Seal

Phnom Penh: FUNCINPEC has decided to end the membership of three people for demanding the party's seal from Princess Norodom Marie. In a decision dated Friday 24 September 24, President of FUNCINPEC, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, decided to remove Heng Chantha, Say Hak and Phan Sethy.

The decision to remove the three comes after senior party officials, led by Phan Sethy, held a press conference at the party's headquarters last Wednesday, accusing Princess Norodom Marie of using the party's stamp., deciding to appoint people without consulting with the four vice presidents of the party and with no approval of Norodom Ranariddh.

He demanded the party's seal for internal party reform and unity with Nhek Bun Chhay's Khmer United National Party.

The allegations have been denied by FUNCINPEC and Princess Norodom Marie, claiming that the party's seal was with Norodom Ranariddh in France.
