PM Sends Food Supply to Flood Victims

Banteay Meanchey: Almost 7,000 families have been affected by the floods in Banteay Meanchey province. On Sunday night, the National Committee for Disaster Management presented an updated report on the total impact caused by the floods as of Sunday.

To date, 736 families have been evacuated. Around 5,000 hectares of rice fields are now submerged as well as 309 hectares of mixed crops.

A total of six cities and districts have been affected which prompted Prime Minister Hun Sen to send emergency food supplies for those affected . First Vice President of the National Committee Disaster Management, Kun Kim, has instructed the province's all special forces and the rescue forces to monitor the progress of the situation constantly.
