MPs Deliver Gifts to Security Forces in Kampong Speu

Kampong Speu: Kampong Speu’s six members of the National Assembly, led by the Prime Minister’s son, Hun Many, have delivered gifts as a “thank you” to members of the Provincial Police Commission, Provincial Gendarmerie, Provincial Sub-Operational Area and Coastal Island Protection Command. The gifts included cash, as well as rice, noodles, fish and face masks.

Hun Many thanked them for their “dedication and efforts in the task of national defense in order to save lives from natural disasters and the spread of Covid-19.” He says they have an “important mission for the nation”. In addition, on behalf of the six MPs, he also brought medical equipment, including oxygen generators, sanitising alcohol and bottled water to the provincial health department for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Speaking on behalf of the Armed Forces and the Department of Health, Provincial Governor, Vy Samnang, thanked the six MPs saying they have “always provided assistance to civil servants and local authorities. The armed forces, doctors and patients are inseparable. It really gives warmth and happiness to the people.”

Donations to each unit in the province included five million riel, five tons of rice, 200 cases of bottled water and 10 cases of fish. The provincial Department of Health was handed two oxygen generators, 500 litres of sanitising alcohol and 200 cases of water.
