Another Gold Mine for Exploration

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Mines and Energy has granted a new mining license to an Australian large-scale mining company, Renaissance Mineral Limited. This is in addition to their mining project in Mondulkiri province. The new mining area is located in the Sampov Loun at the Memot District of Tbong Khmun Province. Although already approved by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, it still need to wait for the green light from the Ministry of Environment.

Accordingly, the first license issued to the company is three years, in accordance with the sub-decree of the management of exploration licenses and mining industry licenses. The Director General of the General Department of Mineral Resources has stated that the economic and social benefits and benefits of implementing this project include employment opportunities, reduce migration abroad and economic development.

Tbong Khmum Provincial Governor, Cheam Chansophoan has already met with the representative from the Renaissance Mineral Limited. The mining team has requested cooperation from the provincial and district authorities to ensure the smooth running of the mining process because it is in the interest of both the company and the Royal Government of Cambodia.
