Fire Tears through Third Floor at Mekong Express Transportation Company

Phnom Penh: Phnom Penh firefighters tackled a blaze which broke out this morning at the Mekong Express Transportation Company, located in Phsar Touch Village, Toul Sangke I Commune, Russey Keo District, destroying a vehicle which costs around $10,000. Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department said that the fire broke out at 9:20am and was extinguished by 10:45am. A total of 60 cubic metres of water was used from 15 fire trucks.

The owner of the building named Yorn Teyeat 45, said, “This fire caused damage to a vehicle and other items including blankets, bedding and curtains totaling about ten thousand dollars’’. The fire did not spread to neighbouring houses and no one was reported injured or killed.
