World Cup Qualifiers Continue in South America

INTERNATIONAL: After Brazil’s last World Cup qualifier was called off after it emerged that some of Argentina’s players had been busy dodging quarantine, it’s all systems go for Thursday night’s qualifier against Peru.

Brazil's national squad hit the training field on Tuesday, preparing for what should be a relatively easy outing against little-favoured Peru, but Brazil will still be wary. Peru did beat Venezuela on Sunday 1-0. The training came just two days after Brazilian health authorities invaded the pitch to stop the qualifier against Argentina. Four of Argentina's English Premier League players violated the country's quarantine rules.

According to Anvisa, it’s happy with the Peruvian national team and fans should get a full 90-minutes of football on Thursday night.
