Cambodia officially inaugurated its new Techo International Airport today in a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Hun Manet. The event marks a historic milestone as the country unveils a state-of-the-art transportation hub built with an investment of USD 2.3 billion. The airport features a modern passenger terminal, expanded runways, cargo facilities, and infrastructure designed to support up to 50 million passengers in future phases. Managed by OCIC and CAIC, the project involved international partners including Foster + Partners, ATKINS, and Heerim Architects.

Already attracting new airlines such as Etihad Airways and Turkish Airlines, TIA is set to boost Cambodia’s connectivity with major cities across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. The inauguration signals Cambodia’s emergence as a key regional logistics and transportation center. Supported by international partners including Foster + Partners, ATKINS, Heerim, and China State Construction, TIA reflects Cambodia’s commitment to sustainable development and regional integration.

The project also includes plans for a satellite city, new cargo hubs, and future waterways—further establishing Cambodia as a key logistics and transit hub in Southeast Asia.
