Preah Sihanouk Governor Ensures Medical Care for Disoriented Thai Woman

Preah Sihanouk Province, August 9 — Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth has ordered local health authorities to provide urgent and comprehensive medical treatment to a Thai woman who was found in a disoriented state this morning.

The woman, identified as Chonthiya Putthawong, born in 2001, was discovered lying in the O’Tres area of Commune 4 in Sihanoukville. Villagers reported that she appeared confused and showed signs of mild stress, prompting immediate action by local authorities.

An ambulance was dispatched to transport her to the provincial referral hospital for evaluation and care. According to Seng Nong, director of the Sihanoukville Provincial Referral Hospital, medical staff attempted to interview her, but she responded minimally. “She mentioned experiencing a headache briefly, but she has not responded further to questions. Despite efforts to communicate, she remains largely unresponsive,” he said.

The patient is currently receiving medical attention from the hospital’s healthcare team, who are conducting observations and treatment as per standard procedures for patients exhibiting disorientation.

The provincial authorities are monitoring her condition closely and have assured the public that her health is being prioritized. Efforts continue to identify her and provide additional support if necessary.
