BELTEI Civil Aviation Students Conduct Field Trip to Techo International Airport for Practical Training
Phnom Penh, August 7, 2025 — A total of 120 Year 1, Semester 2 students from the Faculty of Civil Aviation at BELTEI International University participated in a practical training field trip to Techo International Airport on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
The field trip was led by Ly Navuth, Deputy Director-General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI International University, along with members of the university’s management team. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of key aviation systems through hands-on exposure and direct engagement with professionals in the field.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and learn about the airport’s Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower, which stands at 118 meters, the Instrument Landing System (ILS), and the Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS).
The field trip is part of a recurring academic initiative organized each semester to bridge classroom theory with real-world practice. It also serves to familiarize students with the layout and operations of Techo International Airport — Cambodia’s newest aviation hub, renowned for its modern design and expansive 2,600-hectare footprint, positioning it as a vital gateway connecting Cambodia to the world.
