BREAKING: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio Welcomes Cambodia-Thailand Ceasefire Declaration

Washington D.C-July 28, 2025 — The United States expressed strong support for the recent ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, announced today in Kuala Lumpur. In a statement, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised the peace initiative and reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to regional stability.

"The United States applauds the ceasefire declaration between Cambodia and Thailand announced today in Kuala Lumpur," Rubio stated. He emphasized that President Donald Trump and he are committed to an immediate cessation of violence and expect both governments to honor their commitments to end the conflict promptly.
