Authorities Arrest Nearly 1,000 Suspects in Drug Crackdown During April 2025

Phnom Penh, May 5 — Cambodian law enforcement agencies arrested a total of 908 individuals in connection with 354 drug-related crimes during April 2025, according to the daily report issued by the National Police.

The report indicates that throughout April, police conducted extensive operations to combat drug trafficking and related activities. During these efforts, authorities seized various materials, equipment, and substances associated with the production and processing of illegal drugs. These confiscated items have been forwarded to provincial and municipal courts for legal proceedings.

Additionally, the law enforcement agencies have transferred the suspects involved in these cases to the relevant courts for prosecution under Cambodia’s legal framework. Beyond the crackdown on drug-related crimes, authorities also intensified efforts across other sectors to prevent drug trafficking and consumption nationwide.
