Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra Begins Official Visit to Cambodia

Phnom Penh, Cambodia — Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, accompanied by her spouse, arrived in Cambodia on the morning of April 23, 2025, for a two-day official visit. The visit comes at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and coincides with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Upon her arrival at the airport, Prime Minister Paetongtarn was greeted by Minister of Commerce Cham Nimal and various other officials. The visit promises to foster deeper ties between Cambodia and Thailand through a series of important diplomatic engagements.

During her stay, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is scheduled to hold a Royal Audience with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace. Following this, she will conduct separate courtesy meetings with high-ranking Cambodian officials, including Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the President of the Senate, and Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipdei KHUON Sudary, President of the National Assembly.

A focal point of the visit will be the bilateral meeting between the Cambodian and Thai Prime Ministers, where discussions will center around strategies for enhancing cooperation in various sectors. At the conclusion of their talks, both leaders will witness the signing of several agreements that aim to strengthen collaboration between their countries.

Prime Minister Shinawatra's visit underscores the enduring friendship between Cambodia and Thailand, reinforcing their shared commitment to mutual prosperity and cooperation in the region.
