Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus strengthens bilateral cooperation

Phnom Penh : On March 10th, 2025, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus in Cambodia held a courtesy meeting with Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MOLVT) and ministry's cabinets. The meeting centered on the recent cooperation agreement between the Cambodia Institute of Technology and Agriculture (CITA) and Lanater Limited, a Cyprus-based maritime company with global reach designed to enhance human development skills and foster bilateral collaboration. Importantly, the meeting also served as a platform to explore additional opportunities for collaboration and to bring Cyprus's expertise to the Cambodian workforce development sector.

Mr. Salah Essa, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cyprus, was commended for his instrumental role in facilitating this partnership. Mr. Lazaros Charalambous, CEO of Lanater Limited, and Mr. George Zachariou, Chief Technical Officer, joined the meeting, expressing their commitment to the successful implementation of the agreement and to future collaborative initiatives.

This initiative underscores the commitment of both Cyprus and Cambodia to strengthening workforce development and promoting mutually beneficial partnerships. We look forward to the positive impact of this collaboration and to the exploration of new avenues for cooperation.
