Tboung Khmum Province to Host Traditional Fishing Ceremony on February 1, 2025

Tboung Khmum Province: The Memot District Administration will organize a traditional fishing ceremony at Lake Trapaing Kam in Satum Village, Choam Krachien Commune, on February 1, 2025. The event aims to preserve cultural traditions and bring joy to the local community and neighboring provinces.

The program will commence at 9:00 AM, with participants required to gather at Lake Trapaing Kam by 7:30 AM. Attendees are encouraged to bring their fishing equipment, including fishing rods and nets.

Mr. Pen Kosal, Governor of the Tboung Khmum Provincial Government, and his wife will preside over the ceremony, supported by officials from various organizations and departments within the province.

According to the Tbong Khmum Provincial Tourism Department, the traditional fishing ceremony in 2024 attracted approximately 98,500 visitors, including two international guests, highlighting its popularity and significance in the region.
