Major Crackdown: 10 Suspects Facing Charges in Svay Rieng with Over 7kg of Drugs and Weapons

Svay Rieng:  Authorities have taken decisive action against a drug trafficking and weapon possession case, sending ten suspects—nine Vietnamese, including one female, and one Chinese national—to the Provincial Court for prosecution. The group was apprehended with substantial evidence, including over 7 kilograms of illegal drugs, six short firearms, and an AK-47 assault rifle.

In addition to the firearms, officials seized 62 rounds of ammunition for the short weapons, 27 rounds for the AK-47, and six long knives, as well as various tools and materials related to their illicit activities. The suspects face multiple charges, including illegal drug trafficking, storage, and use, as well as illegal possession of arms and ammunition.

This operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement to combat drug-related crimes and enhance public safety in the region. Legal proceedings will now take place to hold the suspects accountable for their actions.
