King Pays Royal Visit to Hainan Province, People's Republic of China

Phnom Penh: On the morning of Thursday, December 19, 2024, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, commenced a royal visit to Hainan Province, People's Republic of China, at the invitation of the Chinese government.

This visit, which will last until December 21, 2024, was marked by a formal farewell at the airport, where His Majesty was seen off by a delegation including Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate; Samdech Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly; Samdech Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia; members of the Supreme Council of the King; the Senate; the National Assembly; the Royal Government; the Royal Family; and His Excellency Wang Wenbin, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia.

Accompanying the King during this significant visit are Samdech Mahamantri Kuy Sophal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, among other senior officials from the Royal Palace. 

During his stay in Hainan, His Majesty is scheduled to hold separate royal audiences with the leaders of Hainan Province and with Cambodian teachers, staff, and students studying at the Nanhai Buddhist School. This visit is anticipated to further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the Cambodian and Chinese people, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing cooperation and the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
