Phnom Penh: Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, hosted a courtesy call and engaged in working discussions with a delegation led by Mr. Reto Gruninger, Director of the Swiss Cooperation and Consular Office in Cambodia, on the afternoon of December 10, 2024.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, Heng Sour welcomed Reto Gruninger and congratulated him on his recent appointment as Director of the Swiss Cooperation and Consular Office in Cambodia. The Minister expressed gratitude to the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for its ongoing support in strengthening the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in Cambodia.
Minister Heng Sour emphasized the crucial role that the SDC plays in enhancing the skills of the Cambodian workforce to meet market demands and development needs. He expressed confidence that the collaboration between the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training would continue to focus on TVET initiatives and the management of migration-related work for the benefit of Cambodia.
In response, Mr. Reto Gruninger acknowledged the cooperation provided by the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and expressed appreciation for the partnership with the SDC. He conveyed hopes that the collaboration between the two parties would yield even better results in 2025.
