Indonesian Conglomerate CT Corp Expresses Interest in Investment Opportunities in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, November 22, 2024– On November 22, Prime Minister Samdech Hun Manet of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with Dr. Chairul Tanjung, the Chairman of CT Corp, during a courtesy call and business discussions held at the Peace Palace.

Dr. Tanjung presented CT Corp as a major Indonesian conglomerate with diverse operations spanning financial services, entertainment, real estate, hotels, and shopping malls. He praised Cambodia’s rapid development across multiple sectors and conveyed the conglomerate's strong interest in exploring potential investment opportunities within the country.

Prime Minister Hun Manet responded positively to CT Corp's interest, emphasizing the numerous potential sectors for investment in Cambodia, both in export and domestic markets. He outlined the policies and initiatives enacted by the Royal Government of Cambodia to enhance the business climate and foster investment, highlighting Cambodia's strategic market connections both regionally and globally, particularly through various bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements.

The discussion also focused on identifying opportunities in key sectors, including finance, real estate, agriculture, agro-industry, education, technology, tourism, and recreational facilities such as amusement parks and theme parks. Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged Dr. Tanjung and CT Corp to engage further with relevant Cambodian ministries and local business partners to capitalize on the investment potential in the country.
