Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Believes Cambodia Will Develop More Strongly

Phnom Penh, November 22, 2024 – On the afternoon of November 22, Prime Minister Hun Manet of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam during his official visit for the 12th ICAPP General Assembly and related meetings in Cambodia.

During the meeting, Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed appreciation for the strong and innovative development of the Royal Government of Cambodia during the 7th term of the National Assembly. He firmly believed that under Prime Minister Hun Manet's leadership, Cambodia would continue to develop and achieve its vision of becoming a high-income country by 2050. The Chairman also voiced satisfaction with the robust relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia, committing to further strengthening cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries.

In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his contentment with the progress in relations and cooperation across various fields, highlighting the interactions between the legislative branches. He welcomed the commitment to enhance and expand bilateral relations for mutual prosperity and strength.

The two leaders discussed the continuation of cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, tourism, security and defense, as well as promoting people-to-people connections.
