Phnom Penh, November 18, 2024 – This year’s Water Festival, celebrated from November 14 to 16, concluded successfully, showcasing Cambodia’s rich traditions and culture while delighting Khmer families and international tourists alike.
Prime Minister Hun Manet praised the smooth and joyous execution of the festival in a message shared on his official social media platforms this morning.
“The success of this year’s Water Festival was made possible through the collective efforts of all relevant teams, especially the armed forces who dedicated their time and energy to ensuring security, safety, and public order,” Hun Manet stated. He added that their contributions created the ideal conditions for this major national celebration to proceed in a grand and festive manner.
The Prime Minister also extended his gratitude to other working groups at all levels for their commitment and responsibility. He acknowledged their efforts in organizing the event’s various programs, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring the beauty of the city throughout the festivities.
Hun Manet further commended the performing arts teams for their role in bringing joy and entertainment to the public during the celebration.
