Authorities Temporarily Suspend Heavy Traffic on National Road 3 Due to Flooding

The Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province has announced a temporary suspension of all heavy goods traffic on National Road 3 between Tram Khnar Market and Pang Si Market due to severe flooding. This decision was made public on the afternoon of November 4.

The affected section spans between kilometer markers 41 and 43 near Tram Khnar Market in Kong Pisey District, and between kilometers 53 and 55 near Pang Si Market in Bor Seth District. Persistent rain has led to significant flooding, prompting the department to restrict the movement of heavy trucks to prevent road accidents and protect road and bridge infrastructure from further damage.

The Department has advised heavy truck operators traveling between Phnom Penh and Kampot to take alternative routes, specifically National Road No. 2 or National Road No. 41, until conditions improve.
