Ministry of Labor Encourages Students and Youth to Attend National Job and Productivity Fair This Weekend
Phnom Penh: Kata On, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, has made a fervent call for students, youth, and young women to participate in the upcoming National Job and Productivity Fair, set to take place from October 26-27, 2024, at the Koh Pich Trade and Exhibition Center from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
In his announcement on October 24, 2024, Kata On highlighted the significance of this two-day event, which will feature around 150 companies, enterprises, government ministries, institutions, and educational organizations. Attendees can explore over 180 booths showcasing a diverse range of job opportunities, with an impressive offer of up to 30,000 available positions.
The Secretary of State further emphasized that the National Job and Productivity Fair aims not only to present job openings but also to promote the selection of national products. This event will serve as a platform where renowned speakers provide valuable insights and advice to students and young attendees. "We encourage students, young people, and especially young women to come and learn about job opportunities while gaining knowledge at this important annual fair," he stated.
An exciting opportunity for attendees includes the chance for young individuals to submit their resumes and participate in immediate interviews with private companies right at the exhibition venue. This direct access to employers provides a unique networking opportunity and the possibility of securing employment on the spot.
The organization of the National Job and Productivity Fair 2024 aims to maintain balance within the labor market by assisting employers in their recruitment needs while offering job seekers a centralized meeting point. This event will facilitate the exchange of labor market information among job seekers, employers, education, and training providers, along with stakeholders. Moreover, productive workshops will be organized to enhance awareness about increasing productivity, benefiting from the knowledge and experiences shared by various expert speakers.
In a bid to ensure broader participation, the 2024 National Job and Productivity Fair will also be hosted online.
