Lao National Development Front President Praises Cambodia’s Young, Dynamic Leader

Phnom Penh: On the morning of October 18, 2024, Prime Minister Hun Manet engaged in a courtesy meeting with Mr. Sin Lakvong Khuth Phaithun, President of the Lao National Development Front and member of the Political Bureau of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

During their discussions, Mr. Sin Lakvong Khuth Phaithun extended his congratulations on the remarkable progress and rapid development seen across various sectors in Cambodia. He lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, describing the young leader as both active and intellectually adept. He expressed strong confidence that Prime Minister Hun Manet will continue to steer Cambodia toward greater advancements and prosperity.

The President also highlighted the longstanding and fruitful relationship between Cambodia and Laos, emphasizing their comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership. He informed Prime Minister Hun Manet about ongoing initiatives to strengthen the collaboration between the Lao National Development Front and the United Front for the Development of Motherland Cambodia.

In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet articulated his satisfaction with the enduring and traditional ties between the two nations. He acknowledged the significance of the collaboration between their respective organizations, which play a crucial role in fortifying the friendship and cooperation between the countries.

The discussions further revolved around enhancing cooperation in key sectors, including energy, trade, tourism, and infrastructure connectivity. Both leaders expressed their commitment to promoting economic growth and fostering security and defense collaboration, aiming to further benefit the citizens of both Cambodia and Laos.
