Prime Minister Hun Manet Pledges New 3-Storey School Building for Hun Sen Takhmao High School

PHNOM PENH, September 17, 2024 — This morning, Prime Minister Hun Manet announced his decision to provide a new three-story school building, complete with 30 classrooms and educational equipment, to Hun Sen Takhmao High School. The school, which currently serves more than 2,351 students, is expected to see an increase in enrollment in the coming years.

The Prime Minister's decision came after receiving requests from both students and teachers, who raised concerns about the shortage of classrooms due to the growing number of students.

In a message shared via social media, Hun Manet explained, "Yesterday afternoon, I visited Hun Sen Takhmao High School after receiving requests from students and teachers about the shortage of classrooms due to the increasing number of students. I've passed by this school many times over the past year on my way to work and felt it was important to visit and inspect the situation firsthand."

After inspecting the school and discussing the situation with the principal, Hun Manet confirmed his decision to provide a new school building with 30 classrooms, along with additional educational and training equipment, to accommodate the growing student population and improve the learning environment.

Hun Sen Takhmao High School, which has seen a steady increase in enrollment, is expected to benefit greatly from this development, ensuring that students have the resources and space needed for a quality education.
