Cambodia Home to 19 Large Rice Mills and Nearly 20,000 Small-Medium Rice Mills

PHNOM PENH, September 13, 2024 — Cambodia currently boasts 19 large-scale rice mills with an investment of $342.30 million, along with 19,570 small and medium mills totaling $111.70 million. The Royal Government aims to boost rice exports to 1 million tons by 2025, targeting continuous annual export growth of 3-5%.

At the 7th Cambodia Rice Forum, officials, including the Ministers of Industry, Commerce, and Agriculture, emphasized innovation, collaboration, and sustainable practices to enhance the competitiveness of Cambodian rice in global markets.
