Phnom Penh: In a grand display of royal benevolence, His Majesty the King and Queen Mother have graciously announced their intention to donate a total of $30,000 to the Royal Infrastructure Fund, specifically dedicated to the "Border Infrastructure Fund." This noble gift comprises $30,000 from His Majesty the King and Queen Mother.

The ceremonial handover took place on the morning of September 2, 2024, where Mr. Oknha Ham Mantry Kuy Sophal, Personal Adviser to the King and Senior Minister in Charge of General Affairs of the Ministry of the Royal Palace, presented the royal contributions to the Royal Government of Cambodia. The occasion was marked by the presence of Mr. Seng Teang, Deputy Director of the Cabinet of Samdech Moha Bovathibodi Hun Manet.

This generous contribution serves as a significant enhancement to the "Border Infrastructure Fund," aligning with the Royal Government’s commitment to bolstering national defense and fostering development. The initiative embodies the royal spirit of unity, peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while promoting sustainable growth in border regions.

On this momentous occasion, Mr. Oknha Ham Mantry Kuy Sophal also conveyed the collective contributions from the esteemed leaders, advisors, assistants, and civil servants of the Royal Palace, amounting to a substantial 31,606,000 riels (thirty-one million six hundred and six thousand riels). This funding is earmarked for the construction of vital infrastructure along the border, with a particular focus on the development of the border ring road.
