Battambang: Prime Minister Hun Sen has issued a sub-decree creating a new commune in Battambang’s Bavel district. The new commune being established is named Bavel. It consists of nine villages namely, Bavel 2, Tumnup Teuk, Prey Toteung 1, Prey Toteung 2, Kork, Sl Khlanh, Kampong Chhnang 1, Kampong Chhnang 2 and Samaki.

The Royal Government released sub-decrees on Tuesday creating two new communes in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet City. At the same time, new boundaries were set between three communes in Kampong Thom’s Santuk district. The three newly adjusted communes were Boeung Lvea, Kampong Thmor and Prasat.
