Ministry of Land Management Outlines Key Strategies for Social Harmony and Development in Cambodia

Pailin: During the first year of the seventh mandate, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has made significant strides in addressing societal controversies through effective collaboration, solidarity, and internal unity. This commitment was highlighted during a meeting aimed at promoting land registration in Pailin province on August 21, 2024, where Deputy Prime Minister Say Sam Al elaborated on the ministry's four major initiatives.

Battlefield 1: Fostering Internal Unity

One of the ministry’s key priorities is to support internal unity within institutions, a move designed to enhance the functioning of government agencies. By building trust and confidence in joint leadership, the ministry aims to create a cohesive environment that fosters effective governance.

Battlefield 2: Promoting Land Registration

The second battlefield focuses on land registration, which is essential for establishing a conflict-free environment. The ministry is committed to providing satisfactory services that not only reduce and eliminate existing controversies but also expand the national budget by ensuring that land ownership is clearly defined and legally recognized.

Battlefield 3: Modernizing Public Administration

In an effort to build a modern public administration system, the ministry is working on strengthening the capacities of officials and institutions. This includes motivating personnel and preparing additional draft laws to enhance governance and regulatory frameworks.

Battlefield 4: Urbanization and Development

The fourth initiative involves preparing land for urbanization in Cambodia, with the vision of transforming the nation into the land of Suvannabhumi. This entails preparing cities, towns, rural areas, and villages to foster peace and happiness among citizens.

Overall, the Ministry of Land Management’s proactive approach during this mandate is centered on creating an inclusive and functional society. By tackling these four major areas, the ministry is paving the way for sustainable development and social harmony across Cambodia.
